Travel Protection is offered through Travel Insured International. Designed specifically with group travelers in mind, these affordable plans protect you and your trip investment should something unexpected happen before, in route to or during the tour.

For Student Groups travel protection is available for multi-day tours.  It is the Group Leader’s choice whether to offer this product. Travelers register and pay premiums via enrollment links provided by their Group Leader.  Protection choices are Student Deluxe providing 100% coverage if you cancel for good reason (sickness, injury), or additional CFAR Optional providing 75% coverage for any reason (poor grades, fear of COVID-19).

For Adult Groups, student groups with >20% adults, or student groups where the school has opted to not offer group coverage, a retail product can be purchased. We offer either the Worldwide Trip Protector Edge or Worldwide Trip Protector with CFAR Optional coverage. Travelers can get a quote and pay for this coverage using the following link

Tour Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage A refund of the Tour Cost if you need to cancel from or miss part of the tour due to reasons stated in the Plan Document, like work obligations, sports playoffs, job loss, unforeseen illness or death in the family, accidental injury, strike, terrorist incident, jury duty, or severe damage to home.

Accident and Sickness Medical Coverage of treatment costs up to a stated limit when accident or illness strikes during the trip.

Travel Delays and Missed Connections and Baggage & Personal Effects Coverage for expenses incurred due to flight delays or missed connection or loss of baggage, airline tickets, travel documents and valuable property.

Non-Insurance Assistance Services Concierge style services for medical referrals, prescription drug or eyeglass replacements, ID theft resolution and lost baggage retrieval.

Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) optional benefit  A Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) optional benefit is also available, allowing travelers ultimate flexibility in their travel planning.  The deadline to enroll in this CFAR benefit for adult groups is within 14 days of your initial trip deposit; for student groups the benefit can be added any time up to final trip payment.  If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to departure for a non-covered reason, reimbursement of up to 75% of prepaid, forfeited and non-refundable payments or deposits is provided.  This benefit is not available to residents of New York State.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE concerning Travel Protection: The purchase of a Travel Protection Plan is not required in order to purchase travel services from Good News Travels.  The Plans offered provide insurance coverage that only applies during the covered trip.  You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending on your other coverages.  You may wish to compare the terms of the Plan offered with your existing life, health, home and auto insurance policies.
