Desert View Drive takes travelers along the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The scenic road passes multiple vantage points, notably the Desert View Watchtower, a 70 foot tower lined with murals and balconies.

 

Yavapai Point

Yavapoi provides some of the best views of the canyon. Located on the south rim, visitors have unobstructed views of the gorge. The onsite Yavapoi Observation Station offers books and souvenirs, as well as information on the geology and history of the canyon.
